Alpenblitz was a motorised rollercoaster built by Schwarzkopf. It was the Alpenblitz II model. It had a top speed of 72 kilometres per hour. the track lenght was 210 meter and the ride was in total 5 M high. The riding time was about 1 minute. The ride was not themed, but painted yellow with some white supports and a blue train. In one season it had a red train. It opened in the 1979 season, and closed after the 1981 season.
The reason for the removal of this ride was the high energy costs. It was an electric rollercoaster (same as the newer Bob express) But it was less efficient. However, we think that Bobbejaanland could have known this when buying this ride.

Did you know:
That there were at least 9 parks in the world with this rollercoaster? Even for a schwarzkopf ride this is not very much. The most famous one was ''Grand Canyon Bahn'' in Phantasialand, which caused a fire and demolished itself and an other schwarzkopf coaster.
