Balloon race was one of the earlier flatrides of the park. It opened in 1986 and was closed in 1995. The ride had a pretty big cappacity for it's size, 1200 visitors per hour. The balloons were available in 3 colors, blue, yellow and red. It was themed to balloons, and the middle had some cloud paintings, but other than that it was not really themed.
The ride was a real family ride, the simple movements together with the height made it a pretty good flatride in the park. It was located near the entrance of the park.

That this ride probably has been removed due the opening of Kinderland, the kids area? With the opening of that part of the park a lot of kiddy rides were in the newly opened indoor area. Making the older outdoor kiddy rides useless. The park could use the space to built more thrilling rides.

This attraction was not themed, but was nicely painted, and had some little balloon decorations.
