Bobbejaanland

Calypso was a standard fun fair ride in the mid 70's. Bobbejaanland had also a Calypso ride. The ride had 16 cars. The cappacity was about the 900 persons per hour. The ride was located near Wervelwind and Troika. Somewhere behind the location of the Typhoon today.
The ride was not themed very well, but had cool looking cars, in some kind of bumpercar shape. These were painted red, yellow or blue. They all had a small roof, but it didn't work out very well. The ride was constructed by Schwarzkopf.

That between this ride and Troika was an other ride with rockets? It looks a lot like the Orca ride today, but the name of that ride is unknown.
- Popularity Attraction
This attraction was pretty popular, we think it has been sold because the ride was pretty old. There has never been given a reason for deleting this ride.
- Waiting Times
The waiting times were pretty short, probably about 5 minutes.
- Theming attraction
This attraction was not themed. It was simply painted without a real backdrop. Just the word Calypso in lights.
- Riding Time
The riding time was about 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
- Disordering of attraction
This attraction was every day open.
