Moby Dick, the famous whale story was a family flatride in Avonturenpark Hellendoorn. It was a simple caterpillar ride ride for the whole family. The whales would go up and down like they are going over the waves. The ride has been opened in 1994 and was greatly themed with the whales and the ship in the middle. The fences around the ride were also in style, but the location was a little far away from the other rides.
It was not a bad ride, but sadly enough the ride has been removed in 2013, after 19 years being in the park. The ride did get a new life at Pleasurewood Hills in Great Britain. The ride had also a little pond near the entrance to give it a more sea feeling.

Did you know:
That after removal of this ride not a real ride came back for it? Instead, at the location of Moby Dick the park built Aquaventura, the waterslide-park. This is a pay-ride, but has several slides. The deleting of Moby Dick lead to more rides in the park, but they are not free while Moby Dick was after paying the park entrance. Also, there was space enough in the park to replace the ride, but instead of that it moved to an other park. Good enough it has not been scrapped!
- Popularity Attraction
This attraction was popular by the kids, so removal was pretty weird. The location of the ride was not very good, just at the back of a popular rollercoaster.
- Waiting Times
The waiting times were about 5 minutes, the ride was most of the time full, but the strange location led to little waiting times.
- Theming attraction
The attraction was pretty good themed for a small park, we loved it to see that they made a real decor for this ride. Hopefully it's also good themed at Pleasurewood Hills.
- Riding Time
The riding time was 1 minute and 30 seconds. A little short.
- Disordering of attraction
This attraction was always open.
