One of the most famous rides in the smaller parks of The Netherlands, but then the older version! Rioolrat (by fans called: Rioolrat 1) was the former indoor rollercoaster. At it's spot is at this moment another indoor rollercoaster called Rioolrat (by fans called Rioolrat 2) In fact it is a simple story, but due to the names it can get a little tricky. First the park opened an indoor coaster: Black Hole from 1986 to 1990. In 1991 Rioolrat (1) opened. It was a Zierer Flitzer model and the cars were themed to sewerrats (which is the translation for the dutch word Rioolrat) It was just open from 1991 to 1995... And after that a new Rioolrat opened at the exact same spot, this time a vekoma custom coaster, with theming etc. That one is still operating.
The old Rioolrat was not as goot themed as the new one. The cars were simply themed as rats, and there were some walls painted like sewers. It was already a secondhand ride (Adventure land as Der Flitzer), so the ride wasn't expensive for the short operating years. After closing it went to Spielerei Rheda-Wiedenbrück as Mäuseachterbahn. And nowadays it's working at Freizeitpark Plohn as Silver Mine.

- Popularity Attraction
This attraction was popular, but it was a very noisy ride, totally indoor! It was soon clear that they needed a good new one from Vekoma.
- Waiting Times
The waiting times were up to 20 minutes for this ride.
- Theming attraction
The attraction was not themed that good as the new Rioolrat, but it had some painted walls on the inside at the station. The ride was totally indoor and with that big amount of supports it wasn't possible to put any other theming in the ride. So it was totally dark! The loud noise the coaster produced in the dark did give a sewer feeling, that was a good trick!

The riding time was 1 minute and 10 seconds.
- Disordering of attraction
This attraction was almost always open, it was a good ride during rainstorms.
