Near the entrance of the park was a giant playground called Silver City. It was a simple standard playground that you could find a lot in the 70's. At the back were some western houses. This was the reason to give the playground the name Silver City.
The playground contained a lot of small and giant play objects. It opened in the period between 1970 and 1975. It closed in 2003 for a new playground: Drie geheime torens. Safety was more an issue than ever before, and a lot of play objects were made out of metal without any items to guarantee the safety from falling. It was a risky playground like many others. Because of this the park decided to remove it, and built a completely new and modern playground.
