Swingmill was a famous ride on funfairs and also Attractiepark Slagharen had a Swingmill ride. The ride is a carrousel with cars. By pulling a rope you would get closer to the middle of the ride. When you let the rope swing, the car would almost hit the car of the one before you. Making the ride more intense and thrilling than a simple carrousel. Trough the pulling-system the speed of your gondola was higher than the speed of the actual carrousel.
The ride was very popular, but later the rides started to dissapear from the funfairs, and also in the themeparks. Also Slagharen did remove this ride. The end of a swinging time with the mill.
