Sungai Kalimantan is a rapid river built by FAB. It is the longest rapid river of The Netherlands. With a lenght of 504 metres and some waves and waterfalls it's a great ride in the summer months. There are some chinese/asian/eastern elements during the ride, and it is probably one of the best themed rapids in The Netherlands.(photo) Sungai Kalimantan has the waiting area just next to the first curves of the rides and it is possible to get wet and touch the boats. Be careful with your childs! During the rides you will meet a waterfall and some fountains. One of the fountains is just very random. There is also a tunnel during the ride, it was supposed to be the final scene of the ride. But since the effects have been broken down there, and never has been repaired it is now just a simple dark tunnel. (video)

- Popularity AttractionThis attraction is very popular.  - Waiting TimesThe waiting times can go up to 30 minutes. But most of the time it will be between 10 and 20. - Theming attractionThe attraction is themed asian. It is one of the better themed rides of the park, and one of the better themed rapids of The Netherlands. The theming was much better with the opening. It's a pity that Avonturenpark Hellendoorn does not repair that cool effects in the tunnel. It could get one star more!  - Riding TimeThe riding time is about 4 minutes amd 22 seconds. - Disordering of attractionThis attraction is mostly open. But with very bad weather, or too cold weather it is possible that this ride is closed. |
