Joris en de Draak is a wooden Racing rollercoaster built by Great Coasters International. This page is about the Water track, for the fire track click here. This coaster is 25 metres high, and can get a top speed of 75 kilometres per hour. This coaster has been opened in 2010, and ride with 4 trains. [2 trains per track] Every train can have 24 passengers, that means 48 passengers per round. With 4 trains on the coaster it means 96 people are on the coaster. That is a big cappacity.



The story is about a dragon, The dragon is a girl and has the name 'Edna'. Edna is terrorising the village, and the people feed her everyday with a sheep. Till the sheeps are gone. No one is left, so now they have to give the dragon everyday a young girl. At one day the doughter of the king has to be the food for the dragon, but the brave knight 'Joris' shows up. He kill the dragon, and it is now up to you to kill the dragon, with water or fire.

We know that water is for your feeling faster than fire. When you want some action, try water. The watertrack has sharper curves, and a lot more airtime hills. It goes close to the flying dutchman. The watertrack is the one that's the fastest, so the change to win in water is bigger.

The cars does not have enough speed to reach the last hill, and will roll back to stop before they go over the path.

This attraction is very populair, because it is unique in The Netherlands.
Beside that the waiting time is not so very long, When you did this rollercoaster you know why it is so populair.


- Waiting Times
The waiting times are most of the time 45 minutes, When you are in the weapon house you have to choose water or fire. In the station you have to walk to the end. because everyone want on the front row nobody is waiting for the last coaches. You could be 5 minutes faster in the ride if you go to the end of the train. It gives also the best ride, because you can get wet.

- Theming attraction
There is not much theming by this attraction, but a woody doesn't neet much theming.
They tried it and it is good enough. A dragon, some shield and swords, and a swamp gives you an exciting feeling.


- Riding Time
The riding time is one minute and 50 seconds.

- Disordering of attraction
This coaster doesn't have much problems, only in the winter it is possible that the trains have a rollback or can't reach the end of the track.
