Many years ago this playground was togethes with the first 10 fairytales the beginning of the efteling. Trough the years it has been moved, and up- or downgraded. In the years 1990 till 2006 this playground looked like no-one did care about it. For the 2007 season the efteling deciced to give this playground a new life. The old boat-swings were removed due many accidents. But older playground objects did get a new life. These new objects were earlier in the efteling. Baby gijs has been moved to the playground, and everything did get new paintings. result: a very popular playground.


Overview of the playground.

This playground contains an slide, swings, horse's and a carrousel (and it needs real man-power to let it turn) The two most noticable objects are the ''witch-hat'' and the ''monkey-go-round'' these 2 things are really old, and nostalgic. The playground is between Villa Volta and Volk van Laaf.

In the beginning of the efteling there were many more playground objects, think about climbing bars, very high slides, and much more swings. The rules in the netherlands became more and more. The playground became less and less due those rules. Beside that, the efteling tries to keep the nostalgic items alive.

- Popularity Attraction
It's a playground, but it is very populair. The smaller side is not very populair, but contains mostly the same items. But less.
When you've got time to much you should go here with your children, it's a very nice place to relax.


- Waiting Times
A playground doesn't have any waiting times.

- Theming attraction
The playground is themed to the style of anton pieck, you see that all the items have the same style. A funny detail, you will now find at least 2 push-carrousels (one with horses, one with different animals) before 2007 it were 3 push-carrousels, all three with only horses. One stayed at the same place, one has been replaced by the different animals, and the third has been moved from the anton pieck plein to the new playground. In the beginning the efteling had 4 of these carrousels.  The theming is very nice, a real 8!


- Riding Time
The riding time is as long if you wish to stay. Children will have enough for 20 minutes.

- Disordering of attraction
This attraction is always open, sometimes one item is closed for repair. When it is dark it is possible to close the playground earlier, because it is dangerous with less lights.
