Speed of sound is one of the many Boomerang rollercoasters built by vekoma in this world. But it is the only one in the Netherlands. It was earlier known as La via Volta, but it has been closed in 2006. During the 2010 season it has been painted orange and purple. and a tunnel, new station, new trains and onboard audio has been added. Now it is one of the most unique boomerangs in the world.



The music in this ride is a mix of Hello World, which the park's band W.A.B sings. It had a big promotion for it's opening. Beside the many problems with the attraction in the first part of the 2011 season, and that the ride already exists from 2000 it is really popular.

The most visitors would look up strange to this rollercoaster with this colors and kiddy theming. But it is so due the characters of the park and it has been intended as a thrill ride for children between the 10 and 14 years.
