Waikiki wave was a kind of top spin that doesn't make inversions. It was built by the dutch Vekoma. The ride was very noisy and the costs for maintenace were very high. The rumors are that it has been deleted for this reason. But when we look at the years. Built in 1995, and deleted in 1999 we think that six flags wanted something more thrilling.
The ride was located above the water and looked very nice. There are rumors that the ride is sold to a theme park in africa. Nowadays there is still one ride in the netherlands similar to waikiki wave.
