Drako is a Zierer Tivoli Medium Coaster. The coaster has been built in 1991 under the name ''Keverbaan''. Later Six Flags purchased the park and this coaster was renamed to ''Road Runner Express'''. In 2005 Compagnie des Alps bought the park over from Six flags, and renamed the coaster to Wok's Waanzin. For the 2011 season the park was totally restyled for the WAB theme, so the coaster changed from location. On the place were the Flying Dutchman Goldmine was earlier. The name also changed in ''Rattle Snake''. For the 2014 season the ride changed again from name into ''Drako'' The height is 6 metres and the speed is 32 kilometers per hour. The lenght of the track is 199 meters. You will ride 2 rounds. This rollercoaster is also a mirror version of the standard model. Normally after the station it would turn to right instead of left.
The coaster had a western theme since 2000, but it was never located in wild west untill the 2011 season. With the relocation to the wild west theme you would expect that the old theming moved with the coaster. But that did not happen. Walibi made new theming, while the old theming was actually better. The rocks dissapeared, but a train in the middle of the coaster has been added. The station of the coaster was from the flying dutchman gold mine, and the coaches on the track were renewed to a snake. Strange enough only the head and the tail had the snake skin, all other coaches were simply white. Since the 2014 season the train did again get a retheme, this time like some rocks from the 4D movie. A funny fact about Drako, after the rain the track and the lifthill is wet, when adults step in this coaster, it is possible that the train will roll back. When that happens there are not more than 2 adults allowed in this rollercoaster.
Did you know:
That Drako is a rollercoaster with already 6 lifes? It has been relocated 3 times, and renamed with retheming for 6 times. His life started in Zygofolis a themepark in france. In 1991 it went bankrupt, the coaster was called tarzungle there. The walibi group bought the rides and relocated them over the parks. Later Six flags, the star parks group bought the walibi park. And finally Compagnie des alps bought the parks, and renamed and rethemed the coaster to what it is now.
- Popularity Attraction Before the 2011 season this roller coaster was not popular, and was very hard to find. On it's new location everyone sees it, and the popularity was in 2011 very high for this coaster. But it will never be the most popular attraction in the world.
- Waiting Times The waiting lines for Drako are most of the time between 10 and 5 minutes.
- Theming attraction The attraction is themed western with a stone train, and a western house. It is very less, while the other rides in wild west are better themed.
- Riding Time The riding time is 1:30 - Disordering of attraction This attraction is always open, but with problems and rain it could be closed, because Drako can stuck on the lifthill.
